Credit Control Supervisor

Salary: £38,000 to £45,000

Southwest London

Office-based, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm, Hybrid after probation

Are you a natural leader with a flair for finance and a passion for problem-solving? A successful, growing company based in beautiful Southwest London is looking for a confident, hands-on Credit Control Supervisor to head up a small but high-performing team within their accounts department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in accounts or residential lettings who enjoys the challenge of managing people, streamlining processes, and ensuring the numbers always add up. You'll be working from modern, open-plan offices just minutes from a vibrant high street full of shops, cafés and transport links - perfect for that lunchtime recharge or post-work catch-up.

The company has a welcoming and inclusive culture where people genuinely enjoy working together. There are regular team socials (think summer BBQs, Christmas parties, and casual Friday drinks!), and a supportive leadership team who truly value internal progression. Many of the staff have built long-term careers here, and you'll quickly see why.

What you'll be doing day-to-day:

  • Leading a team of three within the Client Accounts department, focusing on both Landlord and Tenant credit control
  • Reducing debt levels and improving collection strategies
  • Overseeing and improving daily debt chasing processes
  • Producing regular KPI and performance reports
  • Handling stakeholder queries and building relationships across departments
  • Collaborating with solicitors, Front Office and IT teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Approving payment runs and generating financial reports
  • Training and developing the team to grow their skills and support each other
  • Taking the lead on monthly reviews and team appraisals
  • Supporting tech-led automation and internal process improvements

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 3+ years' experience in Finance, ideally with a focus on credit control or client accounts
  • Solid team management experience including: recruitment, training, appraisals, coaching and disciplinary.
  • A confident, people-first leadership style - you enjoy motivating and mentoring others
  • A proactive, solution-driven mindset and strong attention to detail
  • ERP accounting experience (Reapit is a bonus, but not essential)
  • A background in residential lettings or property finance is helpful, but not essential
  • Strong Excel skills and overall IT fluency
  • A calm and collaborative approach to change and a can-do attitude

What's in it for you?

  • Annual bonus scheme based on company performance
  • 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
  • Pension scheme - contributions increase with service
  • Friendly, social team and vibrant office culture
  • Long-term progression and learning opportunities
  • If you're looking to join a company where your ideas are heard, your efforts are recognised, and your team feels more like a community - this could be the role for you.
  • Apply today to take the next step in your finance career with a company that truly values its people.
