We are seeking a dynamic, self-directed, experienced Product Manager to join our team to lead the implementation and development of an Electronic Medical Records across the hospital and wider outpatient diagnostic centres. You will be responsible for defining the product vision, managing the product backlog, and ensuring the successful delivery of features that meet our customers' and clinicians needs.

As a Product Manager you will provide support for system, clinical and operational improvements for the product, enabling continuous and rapid change as required supporting the business strategy.

How you'll help us make health happen

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the Electronic Medical Record System aligning with the BCH's overall goals and objectives.
  • Product Roadmap: Develop and maintain a product roadmap, communicating timelines and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Work within your squad to support the creation and execution of journey optimisations, including the process of insight, idea, user research, customer journey maps, develop wireframes & designs, copywriting, user testing, build & delivery.
  • Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the needs of stakeholders and customers.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and development teams, to gather requirements and feedback, whilst driving our transformation agenda.
  • Work with stakeholders and representatives from across the business to explore existing areas for operational improvement and identify new opportunities for improvement using the system functionality.
  • Work with the Architecture teams, support teams and technology and business stakeholders to prioritise activities accordingly. Identify solutions utilising existing system capabilities
  • Configure demonstrations of improvements using the system and modify as required through to successful implementation.
  • Be a champion and SME for the system.
  • Attend meetings and workshops as required to provide system knowledge, gather feedback and identify and suggest solutions.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the system functionality, business processes and strategies.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders; keep them informed of progress and issues as required.
  • Liaise with IT and other teams to provide a point of contact for escalation, and work to resolve any IT issues.

Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role

  • You will have experience and be well versed in healthcare technology
  • Desirable degree educated or equivalent
  • High standard of presentation skills including creation and delivery
  • Experience of delivering clinical and operational services
  • Desired experience of healthcare industry, On-site and remote services and understanding of current policies and procedures (including CQC)
  • Experience of managing complex multi-functional service delivery operations.
  • Experience of working with complex systems & processes & an ability to simplify these

Technical Skills Required:

  • Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, and experience with Agile tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Knowledge of the SDLC and experience working closely with development teams to deliver software products.
  • Technical Documentation: Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
  • API Integration: Familiarity with API integration and the ability to understand and communicate technical requirements for integrating third-party services.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to gather insights and make data-driven decisions.
  • UX/UI Principles: Understanding of UX/UI design principles and the ability to collaborate with design teams to create user-friendly interfaces.
