We have a new and exciting role for you as an experienced Warehouse Assistant at a mid sized manufacturing company in the Moseley area of Birmingham.
Typical working hours as a full time Warehouse Assistant:
You will be working on Monday to Friday from 09:00am to 18:00pm
Your role as a Warehouse Assistant:
- Operate a forklift truck Counterbalance/ Flexi Driver in a safe and efficient manner to move packaging materials, finished goods, and other products within the facility.
- Loading and unloading transport vehicles with a forklift truck.
- Conduct daily safety inspections of the forklift truck and report any malfunctions or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Loading and unloading of pallets.
- Ensure that health and safety rules are complied with at all times.
- Maintain a clean and well organised work area.
- Support and involvement in stock counts as and when required.
- IT literacy - competent with the use of systems
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
- Forklift Truck license that has been issued or refreshed within the last 3 years and accredited by either RTITB or ITSSAR
- Experience operating a forklift in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment of at least 6 months
- Strong attention to details and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and work to 5S standards and promote 5S standards to other colleagues..
