The IT Service Delivery Manager role combines IT service delivery with service operations, focusing on ITIL best practices. You will manage IT service delivery for the Technical Services Teams (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Line) while acting as a conduit between various IT departments, development teams, and external suppliers to provide exceptional IT support and services.

Responsibilities of IT Service Delivery Manager:

  • Inspire and lead a diverse team of engineers and Service Desk personnel, focusing on professional growth and continuous improvement.
  • Manage team performance through effective performance management practices.
  • Implement and maintain ITIL best practices for incident, problem, change, and service level management.
  • Continuously improve service delivery processes by leveraging ITIL frameworks.
  • Ensure seamless IT service delivery, balancing internal technical support and collaboration with managed service providers.
  • Oversee daily IT operations across various lines of service to maintain high performance and reliability.
  • Actively engage with business owners and key stakeholders to develop and implement IT solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to secure innovative solutions and optimize the value delivered to the organization.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of hybrid cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure the delivery of robust and scalable infrastructure and cloud solutions.
  • Implement efficient working practices and procedures, focusing on change and problem management.
  • Maintain the organization's system security in collaboration with group compliance.
  • Stay updated with industry standards and ensure adherence to security best practices, such as ISO27001.

Requirements of IT Service Delivery Manager:

  • Proven leadership skills with an ability to inspire and manage a technical team.
  • Excellent people, team, and work management skills.
  • Strong understanding of cloud and data centre technologies and the broader IT industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL best practices.
  • Outstanding critical and strategic thinking abilities to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis to inform decision-making and identify improvement areas.
  • Extensive experience in information security, including ISO27001 knowledge.
