We are looking for self-sufficient and motivated Assembly Engineer/ Fitter to join a company with over 40 years' experience in the specialist design, development, and production of machinery.
Assembly Engineer/ Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assemble a range of units including fitting guards, switches, hoses, gearboxes, motors and pumps
- Working from technical drawings to complete assemblies
- Test and carry out fault finding when required, raising concerns and identifying potential causes for the units failures
- Prepare products for dispatch assembling and cleaning the components completing PDI sheets
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
The ideal Assembly Engineer/ Fitter will:
- Have good assembly skills including experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Be experienced in using hydraulic, electrical and manual tools
- Be able to read and work from engineering drawings
- Have the ability to diagnose and repair faults
- Have a relevant manufacturing/ engineering (Level 3 or NVQ) qualification (desirable)
- Have previously worked within a Quality Management System, striving for process improvements (desirable)
