Hays are recruiting for a Payroll Team Leader for a permanent role based in Doncaster. This role is immediate start subject to interview, with key responsibilities including all staff receive monthly payslips, all end of year processes are complete, and all payments are sent to HMRC in a timely manor.
Your new role
You will be a team leader of 2 experienced payroll administrators, leading the Monthly Payroll. You will still complete hands on transactional work including:
- Gross to Net/All Pay Items and Deductions.
- Annual Salary Reviews.
- Ensuring all details are submitted to HMRC within the required time to avoid penalties.
- Manage all pay items for NMW and Gender Pay Reporting.
- Deal with any enquiries relating pay/tax/company car tax/benefit tax.
- Manage all Salary Sacrifice Schemes.
- Become a leading subject matter expert on payroll (PAYE), pensions, and any deductions
What you'll need to succeed
Experience with payroll within an industry environment, with some experience within people management. Have a high level of communication between all staff members, ensuring all queries are answered. Able to build relationships with your team, to understand if there are any issues within the department & how you can help.
Great attention to detail and ability to work to a deadline is necessary.
CIPP recognised qualifications as desirable.
