Looking for an Internal Communications & Engagement Lead to support the vision of the Change Management work stream for the new Council wide Transformation Programme, ensuring a consistent and positive perspective in promoting the upcoming Council changes.

Description
Keys areas of responsibility:
- To work with and within service/resident-facing departments of the council to develop a forward plan of engaging and fresh campaigns and communications activity.
- To act on a 'business partner' basis, getting to know the work of individual business streams, divisions, departments and other teams within Change Transformation Programme to develop and implement communications and other campaigns to showcase the upcoming changes to the Council
- To help monitor emerging issues that could impact on the council and departments and ensure the authority is well positioned to handle such and alert the Change Project Manager and/or the Internal & Corporate Communications Manager as appropriate.
- To develop communications and campaigns plans to promote specific campaigns or initiatives.
- To work with the Change Project Manager to develop and assign content in the right places so that audiences can engage and be aware of key council activities, policies, initiatives, and transformation.
Profile
The candidate that secures the Part Time Internal Communications & Engagement Lead opportunity (14 hrs/week) will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven track record in delivering Internal Communications for a business transformation change programme, ideally in a civil service organisation, local government would be an advantage.
- Can evidence the ability to build strong relationships quickly and effectively and influence at all levels.
- Enjoys both the planning and execution of internal communications programmes
- Excellent communicator both written & verbal
- Available to early September and commit to a minimum of 2 months
Job Offer
Competitive daily rate of upto £500/day PAYE (Inside IR35) depending on suitability and track record.
