The ideal candidate brings a wealth of experience, having successfully sold into both garden centre groups and independent garden centres for at least 3 years. It's not just about the numbers - our client is looking for a true people person who knows how to build and nurture relationships with customers.

If you thrive on connecting with people, whether it's a large garden centre chain or a small independent shop, and you know how to establish and maintain strong customer relationships you may be the right fit for this position.

Familiarity with the gardening industry is preferred but not required. You'll be promoting our client's range, so understanding Garden Centres, both large and small, would be extremely beneficial

About the Role:

As an Area Sales Manager, you'll be the face of our client when interacting with garden centres. Your goal is to build and nurture relationships with these centres, whether they are part of a larger group or independent establishments.

You'll engage in regular communication, understand their needs, and address any concerns promptly. By fostering trust and reliability, you'll ensure that our products have a prominent place in their inventory.

The role includes selling through other distributors.

Your strategy will involve prospecting new clients, following up on leads, and closing deals. Consistent effort and strategic planning are essential.

Our client is a well-known and experienced wholesaler of a wide range of decorative pots and containers, serving numerous retailers, growers, garden centres, architects and landscape designers across the UK.
