Shop Manager
Location: Castle Bromwich
Pay Rate: £11.60 - £12.54 per hour
Working Hours: 9am-5pm, 5 out of 7 trading days
Job Purpose
As a Shop Manager, you will support the Retail Area Manager by leading and motivating your team of staff and volunteers. Your primary goal is to achieve sales targets while maintaining exceptional customer service and improving the shop's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and income targets
- Maintain high standards of merchandising and shop cleanliness
- Encourage public donations under the Gift Aid Scheme
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers
- Ensure accurate administrative processes, including daily banking
- Maintain shop security and handle valuable donations
- Adhere to Health and Safety and infection control policies
- Promote a professional image of the Hospice
Requirements
- Significant retail experience; charity retail experience is a plus
- Customer-focused with strong sales and organizational skills
- Experience managing volunteers and meeting sales targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle difficult situations and maintain confidentiality
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated
