The Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements and reports, budgeting, payroll, billing activities and managing ledgers in the professional services industry. This role demands a team member who is detail-oriented, with excellent knowledge in accounting principles.

Description
- Prepare financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
- Manage and maintain the financial ledger.
- Perform budgeting tasks and variance analyses.
- Handle billing activities, including invoicing and account receivables.
- Conduct payroll functions and ensure timely payments.
- Comply with the industry's legal requirements and uphold the company's financial policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting procedures and refine budgeting processes.
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
Profile
A successful Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting or a relevant field.
- ACCA or ACA full certification
- Proven experience as an Accountant in the professional services industry (must have been within the UK!)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (UK).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
