Reed Education is seeking a Full-Time History Teacher to join our respected network of educators. Role Overview:
The History Teacher will play a vital role in delivering high-quality history education to secondary school students. You will use innovative teaching methods to engage students with historical events, figures, and periods, helping them to appreciate the complexities of the past and its impact on the present and future.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver inspiring history lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Incorporate a variety of historical sources and technology to make history tangible and relevant.
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to encourage deep understanding and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with other history teachers to create a cohesive and supportive history curriculum.
Requirements:
- Degree in History or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching history at the secondary level.
- A robust understanding of historical content and a passion for the subject.
- Strong communication skills and effective classroom management strategies.
