Health Advisory and Inquest Associate

Posted by Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment .

My client is a top tier UK law firm, and they are looking to bring in a Health Advisory and Inquest Associate for their Birmingham office.

You will be managing a caseload of Court of Protection (including some advocacy) and inquest matters primarily for the NHS, with opportunities to work for independent sector health and social care clients and local authorities as well.

The team consists of 30 Lawyers that conducts a range of other health and social care advisory issues, including inquests, High Court serious medical treatment cases, health, mental capacity, deprivation of liberty, intervenor proceedings in the Family Court, welfare planning disputes, safeguarding, access and funding disputes, continuing healthcare/Individual Funding Requests, information governance/DPA/FOI, judicial review and Human Rights Act claims.

The ideal candidate will be NQ – 4 years PQE with experience within COP and mental capacity. Salary will be DOE but to give you an idea NQ solicitors start on £45,750. WFH pattern is 2 days in the office and 3 days WFH (attending court will be a day in the office).

They have a host of great benefits you'd expect from a top tier firm such as 25 days AL plus Christmas shut down, health and dental insurance, car scheme, life assurance 3* salary to name a few. They are constantly ranking high publications such as 'Roll on Friday' which is voted for by employees. If you'd like to discuss the role, please get in touch.
