Area Sales Manager - North

Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven Area Sales Manager to lead and expand their sales efforts across the North of England and selected national accounts. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in achieving sales targets, business development, and account management.

You will be responsible for meeting/exceeding your personal sales targets, managing, and growing existing wholesale accounts, and developing new business opportunities. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities for an Area Sales Manager

  • Achieve personal sales targets and consistently deliver on monthly quotas.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients in the North of England and select national accounts.
  • Open new business accounts and re-establish relationships with dormant or underperforming clients.
  • Develop and execute a territory plan to maximize sales opportunities and client engagement.
  • Ensure all clients have signed Trade Supply Agreements and Consignment Agreements
  • Tailor sales strategies to individual client needs, maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on client accounts and sales activities.
  • Attend events and exhibitions to represent the company and build client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on product launches and promotions.
  • Manage client accounts according to agreed credit terms and ensure timely payment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in wholesale or B2B environments
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your territory effectively.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK, with overnight stays as required.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and outstanding customer service skills.
