Our highly valued, exclusive client is seeking a Management Accountant to join the finance department within the fast-growing environmental/renewables sector. This role is pivotal in supporting the Finance Director in preparing management accounts and various financial reports, overseeing general accounting procedures, and contributing to strategic decision-making to promote long-term financial success.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and other financial reports, including budgets.
- Present reports to senior management to support business decision-making.
- Compile strategies to reduce business costs and obtain finance for projects.
- Advise on the financial implications of business decisions.
- Develop and oversee financial systems and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Control income and expenditure, ensuring alignment with budgets.
- Oversee accounting technicians and support with general accountancy tasks.
- Communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance staff members.
- Analyse and manage risk within the business.
- Support the members of the Finance Team and deputise for the Finance Director as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Solid foundation of experience in a similar role.
- Part-qualified, fully qualified, or QBE candidates will be considered.
- Effective communication skills at all levels to advise and liaise with senior staff.
- High degree of organisational and strategic thinking skills.
Experience with Xero and/or Netsuite would be highly desirable.
