Working for a leading engineering firm based in Warrington, we are currently seeking a Senior Estimating Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering company who are going through an exciting period of growth. The successful candidate will be expected to become a key member of the project and bid function of the business. The salary for this role is up to GBP55,000 per annum.
What will you be doing as a Senior Estimating Engineer?
- Carrying out the initial technical and contractual reviews of tender enquiries
- Using Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare the estimate following QA procedures
- Obtaining competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
- Attending site visits and tender review meetings
- Oversee and advising of estimating engineers
What we require for the role of Senior Estimating Engineer?
- Appropriate discipline qualification such as HNC, ONC or City and Guilds
- Vast experience estimating packages of work within the chemical, nuclear, pharma, utilities and food and drink type industries
- Strong knowledge of current and relevant estimating and commercial practices
- Experience of project management, HSE, and QA practices and compliance
- Proven people management skills
