Role Details:
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced, and motivated Orthopaedic Technician to work alongside our highly skilled and specialised team providing a comprehensive plaster service to children and their families.
The role will require treating patients with fractures and orthopaedic conditions as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
The job will also be to assess, plan, implement and evaluate family centred care & treatment without direct supervision that is evidenced based/best practice. To maintain high standards of care and to promote an environment suitable for the care of children. You will be required to manage, organise and prioritise workload effectively and contribute to and participate in clinical audits and research programmes.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- BOA/RCN AOT diploma in casting techniques/British Casting Certificate
- Have previous NHS experience
- They must have excellent communication skills to allow them to respectfully assess and treat patients with complex needs
- Knowledge of human anatomy & physiology relevant to orthopaedics
- Experience with children is desirable but not essential
