Account Handler - Real Estate Location: London, hybrid Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of experience, with a focus on real estate insurance.
  • Deep understanding of the real estate sector, including property management, development, and investment.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow a client portfolio successfully.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and recommend appropriate coverage.
  • Cert CII or progress toward Dip CII is preferred.

THE ROLE:

As an Account Handler, you will understand client needs to provide suitable insurance coverage, handle technical and administrative inquiries, and manage the renewal and placement processes efficiently. Your role involves gathering information for quotes and renewals, accurately recording data in Acturis, staying updated on market trends, ensuring compliance with FCA regulations, and working with underwriters to adjust policies. You will also track performance against targets and maintain the company's reputation through integrity and professionalism.

THE CANDIDATE:

Possessing in-depth expertise across various insurance products, such as Property Owners, Terrorism, Management Liability, and Engineering, you excel at negotiating optimal deals for both clients and the business. Your strong communication skills enable you to build and maintain positive relationships with brokers and insurers, fostering trust and respect. You deliver excellent customer service by promptly addressing broker inquiries and concerns. With exceptional industry knowledge kept current through continuous professional development, you ensure full compliance with FCA regulations by staying updated on any changes in the regulatory landscape.
