My client is seeking a Medical Secretary to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a GP surgery environment, capable of managing multiple administrative tasks efficiently. The Medical Secretary will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare services by handling referrals, patient queries, and other clerical duties.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Typing and managing referral letters efficiently.
- Booking and managing e-referrals, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Overseeing e-referral lists and ensuring they are handled promptly.
- Chasing up referrals and handling queries related to them.
- Dealing with various administrative tasks and responding to patient inquiries.
- Providing comprehensive support to patients, enhancing their experience and satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Medical Secretary, preferably within a GP surgery setting.
- Proficient in managing e-referrals and handling referral letters.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Competence in using healthcare management software and Microsoft Office tools.
