## Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our small Consultancy team. This role will involve overseeing 3 junior members of staff, managing engineering designs, providing project management, and ensuring compliance with budget and schedule.

## Responsibilities

  • Oversee junior staff and provide guidance on engineering designs
  • Lead project management and administration duties
  • Monitor design team costs and ensure alignment with project budget
  • Assist with fee assessments and provide fee bids for projects
  • Implement company procedures and policies
  • Liaise with clients and attend meetings to discuss project requirements
  • Expand our client base and maintain relationships with existing clients
  • Conduct surveys, produce reports, and perform quality inspections of projects
  • Utilize CAD systems in accordance with company procedures
  • Monitor financial aspects of projects and contribute to the formulation of electrical standards
  • Mentor and provide oversight for junior staff
  • Carry out on-site project management and produce condition reports
  • Direct client liaison and manage client relationships

## Qualifications

  • Experience working in a consultancy in a design capacity
  • Project management experience on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Proficiency in producing detailed specifications, design calculations, and drawings using CAD systems
  • Familiarity with CIBSE Guides, IEE Regulations, CDM Regulations, and British Standards
  • Knowledge of Revit/BIM Standards (UK)
  • Qualification to at least HNC or Degree Level
  • Proficiency in Windows, Excel/Word, AutoCAD/REVIT, Microsoft Project, Heavacomp, Amtech, Dialux Evo
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently

## Day-to-day

  • Overseeing and providing guidance to junior staff

  • Conducting surveys, producing reports, and performing quality inspections of projects
  • Utilizing CAD systems and monitoring financial aspects of projects
