About the Business
An opportunity to be an Accounting Manager for an excellent technology business in Tamworth. The business is part of a multi-£billion group which operates globally.
Main Duties:
As an Accounting Manager, your main duties include:
- Be a key part of the business reporting function
- Lead and develop a team of 2 direct reports
- Involvement in the production and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs
- Key management of overheads, reporting and margin
- Supporting the Head of Management Reporting with day-to-day management
- Processing and reviewing month-end posting
- Maintaining detailed balance sheet reconciliations
- Production and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with variance analysis
- Responding to queries from internal and external auditors
- Enquiries and analysis pertaining to VAT and Corporation tax
- Improving financial controls and month close procedures
- Ad hoc duties as required
Location / Office / Culture
The role is hybrid, with two or three days a week in the office and the rest at home.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACA or ACCA qualifications
- Experience with FMCG, logistics, technology or a multisite businesses
- An ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in managing a team
