A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Controls Engineer to join a company that are specialist and experienced providers to the Energy, Food Processing and Pharmaceutical Industry with a unique service. The purpose of the Commissioning Engineer role is to deliver all site-based commissioning elements associated with multi-disciplined projects, on-time to fully satisfy customer requirements, specifications, quality standards, and client acceptance criteria.
Job Role: Control Panel Engineer
Job Type: Perm/ Full Time
Salary: £30,000-£40,000 Depending on skills and experience
Hours: Monday- Friday 0800-1700
Responsibilities:
- Be able to read and work to electrical schematic diagrams.
- Wiring electrical control panels of varying sizes
- Crimping and terminating cables, soldering, fitting components and wiring.
- Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions.
- Working from controls design from concept to completion, covering all aspects from hardware and software design to complete control panel builds to requirements and specification.
- Effectively manage project requirements including detailed milestone setting and timeline generation to ensure key milestones are met in line with overall project completion expectations.
- Continuous improvement of manufacturing control panel systems
Requirements:
- Communicate changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion.
- Communicates effectively with all team members.
- The ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- A high standard of quality and attention to detail
- Expertise in industrial electrical panel systems
- Ability to work to detailed functional specifications and schematics.
- Full understanding of the specific safety requirements, regulations, and standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage workload and coordinate with the team to meet deadlines and project requirements.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems - clearly defining issues, communicating critical barriers/help needed, and developing and implementing creative solutions.
- Advantageous: Specific experience hardware/software programmes and AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN.
