Certain Advantage are partnering with a South Manchester-based International Logistics Business in their search for a Financial Controller. Reporting into, and supporting the Finance Director, the role will manage and support a small finance team and responsibilities will be varied including: -
- Preparing monthly management accounts including detailed variance analysis and commentary
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly Board report
- Annual budget preparation
- Monthly and quarterly forecasting
- Cashflow forecasting and management
- Business partnering with non-finance budget holders
- Assisting commercial teams on tenders, bids and costing / pricing
- Annual draft account preparation and auditor liaison
- Ad hoc reporting, analysis and projects
You will be a Qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with clear experience in a similar role where you will have experience of managing and developing a finance team.
A positive attitude to continuous improvement is essential, as is experience within a transport / logistics or similar business sector with clear understanding of the commercial challenges and idiosyncrasies of the sector. Strong systems experience and capabilities are key and as is experience of a logistics-specific ERP (such as CargoWise).
