About the Role

Base Location: Glasgow or Perth

Salary: £26,200 - £39,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

As Legal Operations Assistant you'll play a crucial role in managing legal operations, identifying, and progressing opportunities to enhance efficiency and organisation. You will support the senior SSE Legal leadership team with administrative and coordination tasks. Your efforts will strengthen relationships with law firms, manage financial information, support team development, and organise training and events. The main duties of the role include:

  • Supporting SSE Legal team's relationships with our panel law firms in the UK, Ireland, and international territories.
  • Assisting with financial and information management for the SSE Legal team, including adoption and implementation of new technologies and software, and identifying process improvements.
  • Promoting team development, knowledge management and coordinating team training including traineeships and internal secondments.
  • Organising off-sites, events, and departmental meetings.
  • Assisting with general administrative support and document management for the senior SSE Legal leadership team.

What do I need?

We'd love you to have some experience gained in a legal function, in addition to:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective management of key stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy, an ability to interpret data, and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to initiate processes and procedures to aid work and diary management.
