We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Hackney. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment, where you will play a crucial role in the academic and personal development of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students as a Primary School Teaching Assistant, helping them with their academic progress and social development.
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons and managing classroom behavior.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Supervise students during lunch breaks, outings, and other activities as needed.
Requirements:
- Preferably previous experience working as a Primary School Teaching Assistant.
- A passion for working with children and a strong commitment to supporting their learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to different classroom environments.
- An understanding of the primary school curriculum is desirable.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
