Sitka is delighted to be working exclusively with the inspirational charity City Hospice, in helping them find a talented, passionate, and dynamic Corporate Acquisitions Manager.

City Hospice cares for patients across the city of Cardiff, managing their symptoms and offering essential support. This means each person in their care can live their lives to the fullest for as long as possible. They support patients in their own homes, and some come to their dedicated centre based in Whitchurch, Cardiff.

This role is a newly created one, reporting into a supportive and passionate Fundraising & Marketing Director. As the new Corporate Acquisitions Manager, you will be joining a fun and hard-working team, where everyone strives to do they best they can to help the charity generate the income needed to deliver their essential services.

There is so much potential to 'make your mark' in this role and we are eager to talk to individuals who are passionate about the cause and who will be driven by building strong and lasting relationships with key organisations across the Cardiff area.

It is crucial that you enjoy gaining, developing, and nurturing relationships with external partners and instinctively know how to maximise the return on these connections.

The job

  • Produce an ambitious annual corporate offer pack which lays out the variety of ways corporate partnership can support CH.
  • Identify and take responsibility for the development of new partnership or income generation opportunities
  • Identify potential ambassadors and develop these relationships in collaboration with, and guidance from the Fundraising and Marketing Director.
  • Support the organisation of corporate events with a view to cultivating new corporate partnerships and relationships
  • Ensure event sponsorship for all CH fundraising events
  • Develop a corporate fundraising strategy with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and achieve corporate fundraising income targets
  • Meet agreed set income targets and other agreed objectives in relation to corporate partnerships
  • Take responsibility for ensuring all corporate partnerships are effectively promoted via social and traditional media, including the CH website
  • Work collaboratively with the income generation, administration and finance teams
  • Support other areas of the organisation e.g. retail, events, volunteering, by promoting activities to corporate partners where appropriate

The person specification

  • Have experience of building relationships with corporate organisations, ideally in a charity setting
  • Strong networking skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including presenting
  • Resilient and positive in all that you do
  • Knowledge of gaining sponsorship is highly desirable is an understanding payroll giving
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Creative with a flair for developing new ideas
  • Hold a full clean driver's licence and own your own car

Salary and benefits

  • Salary is c£38,000 pa
