SJC Partners have been mandated by one of the North West's premier Corporate finance boutiques to recruit a highly driven and ambitious individual for a Deal Origination Executive position. They have completed on a number of transactions over the course of 2024 with an impressive pipeline of new deals currently for 2025 and this hire is seen as critical to this next stage of their growth.
The firm focuses on the company sales side (with a specific focus on companies that have an EBITDA typically of between £2m-£10m) and the successful individual will take leadership of origination projects. As you progress you will take on increasing responsibility with regard to a number of areas:
- Leading key research and analysis regarding both acquisition activity in the market and specifically companies to target (this would cover doing specific sector research work).
- Playing a key role in qualifying a business as a client i.e it has some form of IP furthermore making the initial contact with them
- Providing key support/input to pitch documents
- Maintaining and proactively using the company CRM system
- In time leading pitch meetings with clients
- Taking leadership of marketing initiatives
- Becoming an ambassador for the firm and developing relationships with key intermediaries
Ideally work experience from within the deals space would help for the role but is by no means an absolute pre-requisite – what is more important is that you are highly driven, tenacious individual with a strong desire to work in the world of Deals. Naturally you will be a high energy individual who will be pro-active in their approach to projects and the sourcing of new business opportunities.
