Technical Administrator

We are looking for two Technical Administrators to assist in the day-to-day smooth running of the Technical and Quality Assurance teams by making sure that all reports and samples are correctly handled, databases are correctly maintained and improved, and technical tasks or duties assigned by Technical Manager are efficiently carried out.

Responsibilities:

  • To create and maintain reports and input data regularly.
  • Collecting and collating data for trending results.
  • Arrange and deal with shipping of samples to customers, etc, by post of courier, and ensuring correct handling and storage of all newly received samples.
  • Producing summary reports and presentations.
  • To aid / communicate / liaise with Senior and Technical staff with relevant technical matters whenever required.
  • Document controlling.
  • Record and manage daily incidents.
  • To ensure all the paperwork is completed properly, accurately and on time and filed for easy access.
  • Help and assist in the training of others as required per Technical department.
  • To help with the internal audits as per training and requirements.
  • Working within the team to cover all factory and associated areas and cover other team members when absent if necessary.
  • Any other reasonable duties, responsibility or requests that may be issued by management from time to time.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Educated to HND level or equivalent, preferably graduate, in Microbiology or Food Science/Technology.
  • Good PC literacy including competence in MS Office.
  • Numerate and literate and able to follow instructions.
  • Self-organisation, planning, motivation, prioritising and time management.
  • Flexibility to help with any tasks within the QA/Technical department and to cover audits if required.
  • Displays effective communication, listening, influencing and persuading skills at all levels.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Someone who can prioritise their workload and achieve targets and time sensitive deadlines.

Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday: 9am to 5.30pm (1 hour lunch) - Office Based
