Accounts Assistant with Payroll Experience

We are seeking an immediately available Accounts Assistant with payroll experience to join a leading manufacturing company based in Chatham. This temporary role is estimated to last for 3 months and offers a competitive hourly rate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts and payroll, capable of managing financial records and processing company payroll efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Process company payroll accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Work closely with the finance team to streamline accounting functions and operations.
- Perform reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant, particularly with payroll processing.
- Immediate availability to start the role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
