Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a Geography, History, or R.E. graduate who's searching for an opportunity to gain valuable experience of supporting GCSE students on both a 1-2-1 and small group basis?

  • **Providing 1-2-1 and small group support to GCSE humanities students.

Requirements:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in Geography, History, or R.E.
  • Brilliant communication skills.
  • A passion for the education of KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Drive to improve students' wellbeing and progression.
  • A warm, welcoming personality is mandatory, as well as the ability to form strong bonds with young people.
  • Previous experience of supporting children, or in a school setting, is advantageous but not mandatory.

The Role

  • Assisting teaching staff in the planning and delivering of engaging lessons.
  • Assessing classwork and monitoring student progress.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students as needed.
  • Adapting learning materials to suit the individual needs of each student.
  • Creating personalised support strategies for under-achieving students.
  • Creating positive relationships with both students and staff.
