Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit recent graduates who have an ambition to work in a school setting, to provide academic or SEN support to pupils who require it.

This is a perfect opportunity for those who are looking to gain experience to support a future PGCE application or just those who are wanting a career in education support.

We are looking for graduates of English, Maths, Psychology and Education focused degree course and work with a lot of primary and SEN schools in the Wigan area.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Ashton, Tameside (OL6)
  • Position - Teaching Assistant
  • Type of work - Classroom support
  • Contract or position start date - ASAP
  • Duration / Likely Duration - Full Time, Ongoing
  • Contract or position end date (if applicable) - July 2023
  • Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary - Permanent
  • Full time/part time - Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay - £ 90-110 per day
  • Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a similar setting
  • LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
  • GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
