We are looking for a seasoned Financial Controller with excellent technical accounting skills to drive robust compliance throughout the business. Working with internal stakeholders, external audit/tax/consultancy partners to map out the processes and set up a more robust operating model while keeping the day to day intact.
Glasgow based, hybrid working
£400-500/day
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for management and reporting of the Group's working capital (cashflows, inventory policies, debtors, cash analysis etc)
- Participate in the execution of Share Purchase Agreements and financial due diligence as required.
- Coordinate and lead the Controls meetings and follow up on actions that arise from these meetings
- Ensure a robust internal control framework is in place for the finance department
- Ensuring compliance with local and international statutory deadlines for tax, financial statement, and transfer pricing
- Maintaining UK transfer pricing documentation and country by country reporting
- Pension accounting for the group's DB schemes
- Oversee UK corporation tax filing cycle.Oversight of banking compliance and application.
- Review of finance, purchasing and AP processes and to work with the document owners to improve the quality of documentation
- Company Secretary duties for the Group's 4 holding companies, Companies House filing responsibility for all UK NM Group entities
Requirements
- Technically astute Qualified Accountant with a robust controls/compliance/audit background
- Ability to look at the finance function from a birds eye view but also roll your sleeves up to support with delivery
- Previous experience in a mid-tier business operating with long term contracts is desirable
