Job description - Junior Product Developer

Being a Product Developer for our client is about more than simply writing and shipping code. You will be a crucial part of achieving their mission to be the world's best mobile publishing platform.

That means helping to conceive solutions to customers' problems, evaluating feasibility, and seeing them through to adoption.

You will work as part of a cross-functional team, including product management, design, product insight and QA.

This role encompasses web, native and backend technologies, although you may naturally end up focusing more on one part of the stack as you develop in the role.

Key responsibilities - Junior Product Developer

In this Junior Product Developer role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting clients with the deployment of new product(s), working with them across the full product lifecycle.
  • Taking part in sprint planning meetings and daily stand-ups.
  • Working cross functional with the internal teams such as QA, Design, Insight and Professional Services.
  • Getting stuck into the development! Using your technical skills to write and ship clean, efficient code.
  • Managing client relationships and timeframe effectively.

Job requirements – Junior Product Developer

  • A background in Computer Science or similar. We would consider those from other walks of life, so long as they can demonstrate technical proficiency in the areas required.

  • Ideally some experience working as a developer, or the ability to showcase your technical skills through various projects you've worked on.

  • Bonus points for experience in the following stack:

  • Swift and Java/Kotlin for native apps, IOS and Android

  • Backend PHP, with WordPress for the CMS.

  • Cloud computing experience with AWS.

  • Great attention to detail with an interest in and understanding how products interacted with each other.

  • An inquisitive and curious nature, with confident written and verbal communication skills.
