Bid Writer – Hayling Island (hybrid)

A new opportunity for a Bid Writer to join a small and successful business in Hayling Island! You will be responsible for creating compelling proposals to secure new business opportunities. You will join a friendly and welcoming team and enjoy an idyllic working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Analysis: Understand project requirements, specifications, and objectives outlined in tender documents or Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs).
  • Collaborate with the Team: Gather information necessary for bid preparation by working closely with the team.
  • Proposal Writing: Write, edit, and customize proposals, ensuring they are compliant, persuasive, and tailored to meet client needs.
  • Content Creation: Craft compelling content, including executive summaries, technical narratives, methodologies, and other relevant sections.
  • Coordination with Experts: Collaborate with subject matter experts to incorporate technical details, project plans, cost estimates, and other essential information.
  • Deadline Management: Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and ensuring high-quality submissions.
  • Database Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a comprehensive database of past bid content for continuous improvement of proposal templates.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated with industry trends, market insights, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bid Writer with a successful track record of winning bids.
  • Excellent written communication skills, especially in articulating technical information.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with bid management software.
  • Detail-oriented approach, research skills, and understanding of Legionella compliance terminology.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
