About Us: We are working with a vibrant primary school located in the heart of Rossendale, committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all their pupils. Their dedicated specialist unit for KS1 children is designed to offer tailored support and education, ensuring every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with an N.N.E.B qualification to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with our experienced educators to support KS1 children with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their individual learning goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to KS1 children within the specialist unit.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to parents and teachers.
  • Promote social and emotional development through positive interaction and structured activities.

Requirements:

  • N.N.E.B qualification is essential.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is also essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children with SEN.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.
