IT Support Engineer

Location: Sidcup (Fully Onsite)

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Engineer for our client based in Sidcup. This is a fully onsite role with a competitive salary of approximately £30,000 - £40,000. The ideal candidate will preferably drive, and street parking is available.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide internal helpdesk support for all software and hardware queries from users.
  • Install and distribute software and operating system updates.
  • Set up and configure new desktops and laptops.
  • Manage user setup and complete administration for leavers.
  • Conduct daily and periodic network and desktop housekeeping checks and maintenance.
  • Investigate and diagnose technical issues, referring them as necessary to the external IT provider.
  • Assist the IT Manager in maintaining high levels of IT system security and protection against cybercrime.
  • Aid the IT Manager in training staff on IT software and technical matters.
  • Provide ad hoc support and advice to clients as directed.
  • Undertake specific projects in line with IT strategic objectives.

Technical Knowledge Required:

  • Proficiency in Outlook / O365
  • Experience with Mimecast
  • Knowledge of Azure
  • Maintenance of operating system builds (including software)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policies, and print management
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and DHCP concepts
