Purchase Ledger Clerk

  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (subject to probation period) Office Based mon - Fri 9-5.30pm with free parking

An established client of mine in the logistics industry is looking for a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in finance, preferably within the freight industry, and will be responsible for managing purchase invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations. This role is office-based with a standard working week from Monday to Friday.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Posting purchase invoices and ensuring costs are accurate.
  • Conducting post payments and bank reconciliations.
  • Performing supplier reconciliation.
  • Generating ad hoc reports and analysis to support management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in finance/accounts payable, preferably in the freight industry.
  • Proficiency with MS Systems, including Excel (V Look-up & Pivot Table).
  • Experience with Sage Line 50 and BoxTop is an advantage but not required.
  • Strong personality with the ability to handle month-end deadlines.
