Office Administrator

Part-time: 20 hours over 4 days (Monday to Thursday)

Salary: £15,000 pro-rata (£27,000 full-time equivalent)

Reed in Colchester are delighted to be supporting our client seeking a professional Office Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, providing support to staff and managing the general administrative activities.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Coordinate external service providers and oversee Health & Safety processes, ensuring adherence to policies
  • Manage board diary, support meetings, and handle travel arrangements for the Board of Trustees and the Director
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, manage relationships with facilities maintenance and utility suppliers
  • Perform front office functions, such as answering phone calls, welcoming guests, and preparing meeting rooms
  • Oversee the cleanliness and tidiness of meeting rooms and workspaces
  • Collaborate with external contractors to ensure smooth office operations
  • Conduct Health & Safety checks, coordinate training, and ensure compliance with H&S requirements
  • Prepare and produce all Board and Sub-Committee meeting-related paperwork

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good general education, A-level standard particularly in Maths and English
  • Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office suite and experience with office equipment
  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and Health and Safety policies
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Flexible approach to working hours and arrangements
