Role Responsibilities:
This is a chance to work with a leading mortgages and financial advisory firm with an excellent marketplace reputation. The incoming Financial Adviser should be hungry for winning new business. Around 70% of your business will be provided by the employer, whilst alongside this you would be expected to generate around 30% from existing contacts, marketing/networking activities or new introducer arrangements. Main duties within this job opportunity include:
- Arranging mortgages and mortgage-related protection / insurance products
- Ensuring all appointments are followed up and managed in a timely manner
- Undertaking both face-to-face and telephone fact-finds as required
- Ensuring current regulation guidelines are adhered to, including money laundering and GDPR requirements
- Being diligent and focused on providing the highest level of mortgage advice and customer service to clients
- Following the mortgage sales process, ensuring full compliance at all times
- Visiting and maintaining relationships with introducers
- Ensuring that all documentation is current and up-to-date
Person Specification
The incoming Mortgage & Protection Adviser will be joining a reputable company, which will reward for hard work. To be successful in application to this job opportunity you will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Minimum of 12 months' experience with CAS status and a proven track record in writing business
- Full CeMAP mortgage qualification or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with outstanding communication and listening skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and simple format
- Knowledge and understanding of current compliance regulations
- Highly competent using Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Outlook
- Smart and well presented at all times
- Outgoing, ambitious and self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a pressurised environment
