Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: £48,000 (rising to £50,000 after a 6-month probation) plus, annual, non-contractual bonus for meeting company targets, 23 days PA plus statutory days, rising to 28 with tenure & company pension

We are a leading company that specialises in Rainwater Harvesting and Greywater Recycling. We have been established for over 10 years and have an excellent reputation in the industry.

Role Purpose:

As Financial Controller, you will be the key finance leader on-site, managing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting the Finance Director. Your core tasks include overseeing financial compliance, risk minimization, and producing timely management accounts and financial reports. The role emphasizes leadership, innovation, and supporting the growth and sustainability of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:Establish and manage the finance team, ensuring effective transactional processing (Purchase & Sales Ledgers, payroll, bank accounts).
  • Management Accounts:Deliver monthly accounts, stock valuations, fixed asset management, balance sheet reconciliations, etc.
  • Risk Minimisation:Implement controls to avoid financial loss from bad debts or non-compliance.
  • Financial Reporting:Provide accurate and timely financial reporting, cashflow forecasts, and compliance with VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements.
  • Collaboration:Attend senior management meetings and work closely with variousdepartments to align financial and business strategies.
  • System Management:Support the migration to new financial systems as part of an ERP solution.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Fully Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT) or proven experience.
  • Experience managing financial operations, including monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and cashflows.
  • Strong knowledge of Sage 50/200, MS Office, and CRM systems.
  • Experience with CIS Reporting and system migration preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks.
  • Full UK driving licence
