Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented automotive Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of electronics provided by our suppliers. This involves working closely with suppliers, auditing their processes, and ensuring that the delivered components meet our stringent quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Collaboration:

  • Work closely with suppliers to develop and deliver high-quality automotive electronic components.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers during the design and development phases.

  • Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and suppliers to ensure alignment on requirements and expectations.

  • Quality Assurance and Auditing:

  • Conduct regular audits of supplier facilities and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.

  • Evaluate supplier quality systems and procedures, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Develop and implement quality control plans and inspection criteria for incoming electronic components.

  • Technical Evaluation:

  • Review and assess supplier design and development documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and technical specifications.

  • Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and drive corrective actions with suppliers.

  • Validate and test electronic components to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.

  • Project Management:

  • Manage and track supplier deliverables to ensure timely and quality-focused outcomes.

  • Maintain detailed records of supplier interactions, audit results, and quality improvement actions.

  • Prepare and present reports on supplier quality performance to senior management.

  • Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure all supplied components comply with automotive industry standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949).

  • Stay updated on advancements in automotive electronics and relevant regulatory requirements.

**Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive electronics design and quality assurance.

  • Proven experience in supplier quality management and auditing.

  • Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of automotive electronics systems and components.

  • Proficient in quality management tools and techniques, including FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
