Registry and Operations Officer

Location: Leeds, Leeds International Study Centre

Contract Type: Full Time - Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: £23,400 per annum

Leeds International Study Centre and its programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University.

You will be part of the Student Experience Team at the Leeds International Study Centre working with the existing Registry and Operations Department supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of the centre. You will need to be organised, with strong ICT skills and an administrative background.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Data inputting using both Office systems and Student Data Management systems.
  • Monitoring student attendance including dealing with absence requests.
  • Organising student meetings with the Centre Management Team.
  • Creating engaging student facing information for the Virtual Reception.
  • Producing pro-forma letters for students e.g. bank letters.
  • Dealing with general student queries - face to face, by email and phone.
  • Housekeeping duties, ensuring the centre is presentable and purchasing necessary items (stationery, tea/coffee etc).
  • Assisting the Health & Safety Officer with ensuring the campuses are safe and well maintained.
  • Frontline student IT support.
  • Completing student applications to university via the Direct Entry system.
  • Assisting with organising student induction and events.
  • Assisting with visa checks and compliance.
  • Assisting the Assessments Officer with preparations for Assessment Boards and progression monitoring.

ABOUT YOU

  • Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience of working within administration
  • Experience of working in an academic setting in a student facing role (Desirable)
  • Strong IT skills
  • A focused and proactive approach to work
  • Good communication skills with an ability to communicate with key stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines whilst maintaining a professional and calm manner
  • Evidence of working cooperatively with others
