L3 Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting the educational journey of young learners? Do you possess the skills and experience to work effectively across various year groups? Have you supported children with Special Educational Needs?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to work in a welcoming Primary School in Kirklees. The role starts April 2024 - July 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across all year groups.
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met within the classroom environment.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individual education plans for students with SEN.
  • Support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with pupils across different year groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting children with SEN
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in working with diverse student needs and learning styles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
  • Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
