If so, we have an exciting opportunity to work in a welcoming Primary School in Kirklees. The role starts April 2024 - July 2024.
Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across all year groups.
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met within the classroom environment.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individual education plans for students with SEN.
- Support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development, promoting independence and confidence.
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities as required.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with pupils across different year groups.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting children with SEN
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in working with diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
- A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
- Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
