Job Description

Our client is a leading marketing agency specialising in SEO campaigns and consultancy based in London. We partner with global brands that need a trusted, experienced partner to drive their SEO strategies forward. Clients include Dune London, Sodexo, Thomson Reuters, and Mars.

Due to growth, we are now looking to increase our footprint with ecommerce and b2b businesses in the UK and Europe.

New Business Executive - Role Overview

The New Business team are the revenue drivers within the business, responsible for winning new business and retaining it through account management. Receiving full training in digital marketing and how to pitch our services, you will be representing POLARIS and taking us to market to build relationships with prospects in tech and saas, fashion and retail, developing them over time to increase the value of your accounts within the business.

Youll be able to use your passion and knowledge to converse with prospects and build rapport that's genuine and engaging from the beginning.

This is a targeted role, where you will be responsible for ensuring that clients receive a great experience with our business so that they see a return on their investment and you earn more commission as a result of it.

This role would suit someone with a background in consultative sales / account management, that's used to managing relationships, pitching solution based sales, and working to sales or revenue targets.

New Business Executive - Key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline comprising of client prospects across b2b and ecommerce
  • Canvassing and outreaching to partner agencies to develop strategic partnerships that drive referral leads
  • Attend various industry events to network and generate awareness for agency services amongst client prospects and industry partners
  • Using linkedin to story tell, pitch and attract awareness from target prospects and brands
  • Ideate and run webinars with the delivery team on subjects relevant to fashion, retail and ecommerce prospects
  • Creating pitch decks using powerpoint and SEO tools including SEMRush, SE Ranking, and Google Analytics
  • Selling digital marketing solutions covering SEO, Content Marketing, Digital PR, Strategy and Analytics
  • Using our CRM system to organise your pipeline and accounts
  • Using our Project management system to organise your client accounts and deliverables, pulling reports and managing your client accounts on the go
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to develop a webinar series that generates leads and interest for your pipeline
  • Contribute to our marketing initiatives by producing content for our website and socials
  • Provide day to day client support building relevant reporting metrics and communication channels.
  • Research, pitch and execute account business plans in collaboration with both client and technical team.
  • Support the leadership team on international brand pitches
  • Deliver QBR to clients with actions and revenue growth ideas.
  • Represent the business at networking events.
  • Contribute creative ideas that enhances client delivery.
  • Recruit, motivate and lead others in team, providing guidance on planning of client programmes and identifying training needs.
  • Take responsibility for delivering client programmes to budget and planned scope.
  • Develop, maintain and cultivate a constructive and professional relationship with delivery teams to ensure you get what your clients need you to for their account

This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of 3 days a week service from the London office.

New Business Executive - About you

  • At least 1 years experience in a direct sales / targeted account management role
  • A keen sales person, able to develop instant rapport and build relationships with ease
  • Excellent pitching and sales skills, including negotiations and nurturing
  • Strong user of Microsoft powerpoint
  • Experience of organising projects / tasks into a order with dates and deadlines
  • Experience of digital marketing, particular SEO desirable, not essential
  • Excellent organisational skills, who is a real stickler for holding people accountable to deadlines and detail!
  • Experience of canvassing through phone, face to face, email and social
  • Strong account management skills, able to understand a customers needs
  • Naturally personable, with a warm positive nature
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent problem solving skills and a commitment to keeping your customer happy

Package and Benefits

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 basic depending on experience + commission

OTE YEAR 1 - £45,000 - £50,000
