Role: Senior Category Manager

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Location: Brimingham

Contract: Permanent

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in Birmingham, to recruit a Senior Category Manager.

Role:

  • Lead on the delivery of procurement strategies that will maximise organisational successes
  • Ensure everything is kept in line with relevant policies and procedures including the development of frameworks
  • Act as the procurement expert for the relevant category and ensure category plans are delivered
  • Ensure suppliers meet the KPIs set in all contractual agreements through clear and strong contract management
  • Deliver collaborative procurement strategies to ensure best value procurements are completed
  • Manage the Category Manager within your vertical
  • Provide advice and guidance on any procurement issues and act as subject matter expert within Category

Person:

  • MCIPS qualified
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Public Sector procurement experience
  • Category Management experience in a large organisation
  • Experience of working with senior level stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of high-value, complex strategic procurement projects
