Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will monitor the safety and efficiency of all equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance as planned. You will perform production equipment changeovers and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical problems as needed. This is a highly skilled position that involves a combination of Electrical and Mechanical duties.

Daily Tasks

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company-established Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) expectations and customer quality expectations.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment including power and control wiring, motors, controls, electronic devices, PLCs, and building electrical maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot PLC and other electronic systems, with the ability to program and debug machine logic systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics, parts manuals, blueprints, sketches, hydraulic diagrams, and machine manuals.
  • Evaluate production report comments prior to performing maintenance to ensure all causes for production inefficiencies are addressed and corrected.
  • Perform building maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain sufficient records to support the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (EAM), including work orders and parts management.
  • Participate actively in plant teams and activities including safety, quality, sustainability, community involvement, OEE, maintenance, employee wellness, brainstorming, and continuous improvement to create and maintain a World Class environment.
  • Operate Powered Industrial Trucks, Boom Lifts, and Scissor Lifts per OSHA regulations, rules, and guidelines.

Experience Needed

  • A sense of urgency, accountability, business ethics, professionalism, self-motivation, and the desire and focus to improve the business.
  • Qualifications in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with Mechanical Maintenance or completed training in this field.
  • Advanced skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
