Content Creator Apprentice Level 3

This role has a starting salary of £22,599 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week. This role is a 24-month fixed term apprenticeship opportunity.

We are very excited to be recruiting a Content Creator Apprentice for the fantastic User Voice and Participation team here at Surrey County Council. We work from multiple locations including working from home, our offices are based in Leatherhead/Woking/Reigate and locations where our children and young people meet, such as youth centres across Surrey.

About Us

The User Voice and Participation team work with children and young people to ensure they have their voices heard in the service that they access in Surrey. There are a variety of ways we do this, for example through participation groups, digital engagement, user perspective training and surveys. Participation means taking part in something. In our experience, participation not only helps shape communities and services, but participation also supports children and young people build self-belief and develop amazing life skills.

The User Voice and Participation Team recruit Apprentices with experience, or experience of accessing services, such as emotional wellbeing and mental health, additional needs and/or disabilities and/or social care services such as being in care.

Please note: This apprenticeship is only available for those who will not be enrolled in another government funded programme as of 1st September 2024 and do not possess a qualification at a higher or the same level as this one in the same subject. About your Apprenticeship

We want this apprenticeship to be an opportunity for you to gain experience across a wide range of duties putting you in the best position to succeed in your apprenticeship qualification and take the first steps on your career journey! In this role, you will:

  • Build professional relationships with children and young people, creating a safe and inclusive environment
  • Ensure children and young people linked to Surrey have their voices heard in the services that they access and you'll share their feedback to colleagues for positive service change
  • Use your own unique knowledge and experience to bring about improvement for Children's Services
  • Create fun and engaging content for our digital engagement channels
  • Contribute and support user perspective projects

We won't be expecting you to jump in and be able to do this all from day one. You'll first go through an induction period allowing you to get used to the office and the team.

As your qualification comes to an end and you begin to turn your eye to the future, we have a fantastic support programme in place that will put you in the best position to take the next step on your exciting career journey.

If you do not hold a English and Maths GCSE graded A-C or 4-9, you will be required to complete these in addition to the apprenticeship in order to achieve the apprenticeship qualification.
