Nursery Practitioner
Job Type: 16 hours temporary (opportunity for increased hours and permanent employment for the right candidate)

Reed Education are currently supporting a lovely nursery in the Market Rasen area with their recruitment for a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner. To cover a maternity, they require someone to begin in September 2024 to work 16 hours per week. The role has some flexibility to days and hours worked. There will be an opportunity to pick up additional hours to cover staff holiday/sickness and also when the nursery intake rises in January 2025.
Depending on numbers, the role may become permanent for the right candidate.
The nursery is small with less than 30 children on roll, meaning the team is small but very close-knit. The staff work extremely closely together to plan, educate and inspire the children and so you would be joining a supportive, friendly and passionate team.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Observe, assess, and record each child's progress, sharing outcomes with parents and colleagues.
- Maintain a clean and organised setting that meets health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to create a cohesive and supportive environment.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in training and development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
- Proven experience working in a nursery setting.
- An enhanced DBS check with child barred list (this can be applied for through Reed).
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with children, parents, and staff.
