Our client is an Established, Leading UK Manufacturer of Medical Devices and a Clinical Service Provider. They provide access to some of the Leading Colorectal Specialists in the Country. Their headquarters are based in Discovery Park, Kent, which is seen as a breeding ground for Innovation and Excellence. They were Awarded the Government Life Sciences Opportunity Zone status in 2019.

They are seeking a motivated, disciplined, energetic and entrepreneurial individual who will have a diligent process-based approach to pipeline, contract, and account management.

The successful candidate will also thrive off achieving and maintaining revenue success and profitability, while constantly looking for ways to improve and grow the business and speed up the recruitment of distributors.

This is a Critical Leadership Position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for advising the Board and the direction of the company, in addition to operationally account managing and delivering their services to their partners.

This is a key role for the business, so you will be an important part of a growing, successful team who are focused on getting the business to the next level.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve (and exceed) business plan targets for international sales. These targets will include revenue and EBITDA targets.
  • Lead on research, due diligence, and risk assessment of markets, prospecting for and establishing partnerships and opportunities to prioritise and deliver significant added value opportunities.
  • Own, build and embed within the framework for developing international business.
  • Own, build, develop and actively manage the pipeline of commercial opportunities, being the point of contact on the commercial agreements, and converting these into revenue.
  • Prepare, own and manage the annual international business plan, including the resourcing and performance of the international business.
  • Win and implement proof of concept through to initial contracts as well as establish the business model and all its operating components for wider roll out and accelerated expansion.
  • Establish the monitoring and performance management of ongoing accounts and distributor performance.
  • Identify, qualify and recruit suitable companies overseas to act as distributors in the countries where they are located.
  • Propose and generate sales that will increase revenue, volume, growth, and profitability.
  • Keep the Board and other employees up to date with business progress each month. Develop in partnership with the Marketing Manager, all necessary sales and marketing assets required, in line with Brand guidelines, to generate and accelerate sales and business development. Develop, set-up and execute the onboarding process for distributors overseas.
  • Design and execute international marketing campaigns in countries overseas (with support from the Marketing Manager).
  • Uphold and enforce the company Brand through their constantly evolving brand guidelines.
  • Manage relationships and support from international business development organisations such as the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and Chambers of Commerce etc.
  • Take the lead on the identification and securing of UK Government Grants e.g. from Innovate UK and other grant sources. Represent the treatment to professional stakeholders, strengthening the reputation of the treatment as a viable and credible alternative to traditional interventions:

a. Engaging and promoting to clinic leaders and clinical service thought leaders – effectively Key Opinion Leaders – KOL management.

b. Where required, engage, and promote to clinical ‘customer' organisations.

e. Internal marketing communications to staff, contracted medical teams and clinics.

  • The postholder will comply with the Company's Quality Management System, Employee Matrix, and all company policies.
  • The postholder will report on a monthly basis to the Board.

Results expected in this position

  • Build and develop commercial partnerships and offerings that maximise revenue, profitability and growth through distributors and other customers overseas.
  • Maximise new and ongoing commercial sales internationally.
