Business Analyst

Job Description

We're looking for a Business Analyst to join our IT Development & Solution team within Connells Group. As a member of a Scrum team, you will need a unique blend of technical skills, business knowledge, and interpersonal skills that enable you to effectively analyse, communicate, and collaborate across these agile, cross-functional, business aligned teams.

This is a hybrid role with one day a week in our Milton Keynes office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable technology deliveries.
  • Own the analysis and understanding of the technology requirements for the business area they support. Use different techniques such as interviews, surveys, and workshops to facilitate this.
  • Support product backlog grooming. This involves organizing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that it is clear and concise, and aligned with the objectives of the business area they support.
  • Work closely with Software Engineers, participate in sprint planning sessions and daily stand up meetings, provide guidance on requirement and updates on any issues encountered.
  • Play a part in coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) activities. This involves defining test scenarios, coordinating with end-users, and conducting UAT sessions.
  • Support various agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and demonstrations.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and technical resources.

Experience & skills required:

  • 3+ years' experience working as an Agile Business Analyst as part of a fast-paced software engineering team.
  • Background in delivery of successful technology initiatives in customer facing industries.
  • Understanding of and experience with SAFe and Scrum.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, Jira Software and Confluence.
