Embedded Software Engineer

Paying up to £75p/h Umbrella (DOE)
ARM has partnered with a large Aerospace client who is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to work on a 12-month contract based out of Edinburgh. As The Embedded Software Engineer you'll be working on a next-generation European Common Radar System
Responsibilities:
- A good understanding of electronics, schematic design and use of test equipment
- A solid grasp of Embedded C and C++
- Experience with various communication protocols - (I2C, SPI, USB, Serial, Network, PCIe)
- Experience developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
- Experience of Agile development and Atlassian toolset
- Familiarity with configuration management tools, defect tracking and peer review
- Requirements management tools
- Understanding of the Internet of Things (IoT)
Experience required:
- Hold a relevant qualification in computer engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of standards such as DO-178C and coding standards such as MISRA C/C++
- Experience in the use of RTOSs such as VxWorks or embedded Linux
- Experience in testing and integrating software with firmware (VHDL/Verilog) and hardware
- Experience developing solutions for ARM and Intel-based multicore processing platforms
- Strong low-level embedded C programming skills
- Be eligible to obtain Sc Level security clearance
